A parody in 00s that is funny, heartwarming and sometimes just pure mindf*ck.

Galaxy Angel doesn't sound interesting in paper and it should be... Likewise, if you have heard of this show before, I am telling you that you are probably older than me right now.

Anyways, Galaxy angel was a show that had 4 seasons and somehow, you didn't know about it... why? Probably when you see the cover art and you see all girls, you would have already backed off already and dismissed it as "cute girls doing cute things." While I think that idea is correct since some of the episodes are basically like that but surprisingly, this show pays homage to stuff you probably haven't heard before.

If you are wondering why I am reviewing the sequel Galaxy Angel Z rather than the first one... that's because I felt that I can review this one better than the first one which I only watched it during my work at home(likewise, good people shouldn't watch anime while working unless you don't have anything to work with.)

Continuing from the shenanigans of the first season, the gang are as always wasting time while looking for "lost technology" or sometimes having to deal with the effects of including lost technology into their food (that happened twice), or having to use a combining robot to defeat the galactic threat (which pays homage to a lot of 80s mecha shows that I can still recall,) There are times when all of the episode is just a chase scene that keeps escalating until the end where the abductor just gave up to how stupid the chase has been. There's also that time where the fate of the galaxy hangs to someone's emotional status that they have to use a particle cannon just to make sure that one of the brigade's mood doesn't go for the worst or galaxy would end.

There wasn't a dull moment for this show as but likewise, it is not a perfect show. To those who haven't watched a lot of anime or anything related to the culture; they probably won't be able to guess some of the reference the anime has shown and likely won't be able unlike to how Gintama does.

The show is wack, amazing and sometimes surprisingly deep. There's the one episode where they have to deal with the shadow of the past as it shows up once more. The setup was great, the pacing is nice and the end result didn't disappoint at all, it was surprising and likewise, the more you they are indeed human beings too.

Likewise, go give this show a chance, you can watch it dubbed or subbed. it's your choice as it has been licensed too. Maybe you will understand why I am saying that this show is good. Or maybe convince yourself that you should find better shows to watch instead.

I gave this show a 7.5/10, it's quite enjoyable and despite it's flaws, it's something that this show lives up to it. It's flawed but it has done what it needs to do.
